Tesla Plans to Install First V4 Supercharging Stations in China by 2025

Tesla is set to install its first V4 Supercharging stations in China by 2025, utilizing the company’s latest charging technology to improve the overall charging experience. The new V4 cabinets are designed to increase charging speeds and support Tesla’s upcoming Semi truck, which is scheduled for production in 2026.

Tesla’s Expanding Supercharger Network

Tesla has over 60,000 Superchargers globally, with more than 11,500 located in mainland China. The company began building its charging network in China after entering the market in late 2013. In February 2021, Tesla’s Shanghai Supercharger factory opened, marking the production of the first V3 Superchargers.

Production and Deployment

The V4 Superchargers will be produced at Tesla’s Shanghai Supercharger factory, which combines R&D and production facilities. The factory covers nearly 5,000 square meters and has been producing V3 Superchargers since its opening.
