Tesla has recorded a significant surge in registrations across multiple European markets, marking a notable improvement in sales after consistent declines. The company’s growth in France was particularly impressive, with 9,569 new vehicles registered in March. This represents a 203% year-over-year (YoY) increase in registrations, just shy of the record 9,572 vehicles registered in December 2023.
Sales Growth in Scandinavia
In Scandinavia, Tesla’s sales also grew significantly:
- Norway reported 6,150 registrations, up 178% in March
- Sweden saw 1,447 registrations, constituting a 144% surge
- Denmark recorded a 96% surge in registrations, with 1,784 units sold in the country last month
End of an Era: Model S and X Production Ends
Elon Musk announced that the company has officially ended production of the premium Model S and X lines, marking the end of an era for the automaker. The Model S and X were the earliest models offered by the company, following the original Roadster, and had been in production since 2012 and 2015, respectively.
Current and Future Lineup
Tesla’s current lineup includes the Model 3, Model Y, and the Cybertruck. However, there may be a brand-new vehicle on the horizon for the automaker, in addition to the upcoming $30,000 Cybercab with no pedals or steering wheel.
Stock Performance
Tesla’s stock grew 4.64% to $371.75 at market close on Tuesday, surging 1.25% further to $376.39 during pre-market trading on Wednesday. The company offers satisfactory momentum and growth, as well as a favorable price trend in the long term.
